Have you seen the new figma Solid Snake? It’s pretty much the same figure but they repainted it and redid the head to make it a little closer to the in-game model. I’m curious to hear your thoughts about it.

The movie pyramid head was very skinny, I think a better base body would be a Marvel legends pizza Spidey mold, or even the Marvel select one (tho I think it has sculpted webs on him).

Great job with the cape! I have the same problem - with the current cape, Vader looks like he has no neck! I will likely just do a straight up replacement with my Black Series. However, I won’t get rid of the old cape as that can still be useful if I want specific posing shots.

How about making a custom echo from a bad batch based on the concept art of season 7 of the clone wars? I think it will turn out to be a very interesting custom. Because it will be some mixture of echo Arc and bad batch.

You don't prime the model in any way before starting? I always thought the enamel paints / varnish factories use don't take acrylics well. I've heard someone recommend spraying matt acrylic varnish as a primer, to keep the original colors as a base and create a better texture for new paint to hang onto. Do you feel that's unnecessary?

I agree, that's why I keep Supreme Strange as the OG of the display for now, maybe they will do a better version later.

Fun fact, Peter Cullen’s (the voice actor for the Predator) idea for the Predator’s famous clicking sounds came from a dying horseshoe crab laying upside down making “clicking sounds”!

The original head was pretty good, but that swap and fix is excellent.

Was that a helmeted version of elanor lamb utilizng the endless winter Mr.Freeze thatI saw in the background? If so using that Mr.Freeze helmet was genius.

This turned out really good, one thing I did was use a gundam marker on the inset parts of the yellow on the cloak

To my memory I only have 1 Toybiz Marvel Legend. I have the Nick Fury from series 5. I picked him up for $15 used at my local comic shop. He’s actually pretty good. He has a cool jet patch and flame stand for that. The head sculpt is pretty good too. The articulation isn’t great, but thankfully it doesn’t have those weird Toybiz/early Hasbro ball hips. The plastic of the figure does have a weird oily feel to it though.

That looks awesome! I love seeing toybiz heads onto the Hasbro body. That’s what I’m doing to some of my ML figures. The doctor strange head from Hasbro does look a little like falcone from one of the Batman animated movies. Lastly, have u thought of using o-rings instead of hot glue? There’s a UA-cam video on how to install o-rings inside figures heads, they’re basically like those import adapters for heads.

I love your plastic bag/hot glue trick. On Facebook forums I always send them your videos. I find it interesting you went with Vincent Price instead of Benedict Cumberbatch. Lol
